Artisan Jamuna Future Park-3

Every retail store interior design comes with their own challenges, but often follows the fixed set of the basic ideologies of retail business. The challenge behind designing stores for Artisan is mainly making the products properly visible and findable in terms of sale, as Artisan possesses one of the biggest collections of readymade clothing items in Bangladesh. Artisan is one of the oldest and probably the biggest readymade clothing store chain, who believes in the principle of “the more variations and quantity you have, the more you sell.” So, accommodating this huge collection with a wide variety of brands and categories in one place gives the challenge while keeping an eye on the store aesthetic following the contemporary trend.

In this store in Jamuna Future Park, a guideline design has been sought out for Artisan, which will be running for next 3-4 years. So the design is envisioned for the present to next 3-4 years. Hence the concept has been developed through the exercise of a rotated square, which is a timeless geometry, giving a sense of sharpness that withholds the time constraint. The base color pallet is crafted with white and grey, creating the neutral background needed for the enormous clothing collection of every possible color. The 14400 square feet store has a central axis, which works as an avenue to the different sections and categories. The avenue holds the sculpturesque islands of accessories giving a robust effect with sharp details. At the center of the avenue, there is a large hierarchy in space where a rotated square is introduced. Customers will encounter this space with a sweet surprise of pastel green colored screen. This screen holds the exclusive bags and shoes display. The avenue terminates with a copper color surface containing the key visual merchandising. All the sections are equipped with state of the art trial rooms which are designed to maintain a very high international standard and comfort to the customers. The cash counter is a robust white block with an intricate pattern continuing to the back panel, following the core principle of rotated square.

The whole experience is designed keeping a fine balance between the need for boosting sales for the client and the customer convenience in terms of spatial and visual comfort.
