Parallels - A group exhibition by 8 architectural practices

Parallels: Establishing Grounds

Parallels opened as a convergence of multiple trajectories—bringing together distinct practices, positions, and ways of seeing. Rather than presenting a singular narrative, the exhibition established a framework where differences could coexist without hierarchy.

The opening day focused on setting this ground. Works were introduced not as isolated outputs, but as part of a broader dialogue across practices. Drawings, installations, and spatial constructs revealed varied approaches, yet shared an underlying intention—to question how parallel ideas can operate within the same field.

Visitors encountered a space structured through proximity and contrast. Juxtapositions became key: formal vs. intuitive, precise vs. speculative, resolved vs. open-ended.

The day unfolded as an introduction to the central premise of Parallels—that multiple lines of thought can run simultaneously, intersecting at moments, diverging at others, yet remaining equally valid.
